In the distant past may
Indian sages neglected body in their pursuit of God. They felt the need for the Supreme cancellation of the world, including all physical comforts. But the West, this feat is not out accordingly, there is no reason to equate spirituality with rigid asceticism. Physical fitness is of great importance in the spiritual life. The body is a temple houses our soul, maintaining a healthy body we give the best light conditions for the soul to come to the fore. If faced with physical illnesses, the life of meditation and prayer is difficult.
When you engage in sports like running our body helping rid us of lethargy and infuse the spirit. Running also helps to clear the mind from our usual thought patterns. This is very refreshing and is good preparation for real meditation where we try to remove all thoughts completely. It is also useful to meditate before running. If we are discouraging thoughts while running long distances, you can use the confidence of our meditation to overcome these obstacles. Also, by running or other sports can be given the opportunity to Practise self transcendence, will beyond our previous limitations. Only transcendence not to compete with others but with myself, and stretching our capacities can get a huge inspiration. The mind wants to set limits to our abilities, but by being consistent with our only these limitations can be overcome. Great saints and adepts have shown that we are more than flesh and that ultimately the source of physical energy is spiritual source. If we remain in the body consciousness can not be aware of it, however, by prayer and meditation can vary more aware of this inner strength. This buoyancy allows us to go beyond the limitations of the mind. If you can tap into this stream of inspiration our body will be surcharged with dynamic energy and allow us to go beyond our ideas about it in advance as possible. transcendence only get from sports is a symbol of the inner journey of self. By practicing Spirituality can we expand our consciousness and distinguished more aware of our higher selves, in deep meditation can distinguish aware of all pervading infinite consciousness, this awareness is not static but constantly just outdone himself. In meditation there is no end to our journey of self discovery, as opposed to physical, where our progress to come to an end for a while. Sport can give us joy, but if victory is our only goal we are destined to be disappointed because they will often fail to win. True happiness comes through division, but do not identify with the winner. The best approach from a spiritual point of view is to try and then let the legs due to the Supreme Court.
Sri Chinmoy says:
“from the highest point, the goal not for anyone, but only Singapore to compete with themselves. when competing with others, we are never happy. Today I have some things in Singapore, but tomorrow will look around and see that there is someone who is much better me Our goal is to do our very best and try all the time to compete only with themselves. But whatever the outcome, we should accept cheerfully. We will do our best, then, what God wants found to have, we will accept. “
Sri Chinmoy is giving high spiritual teacher who values the importance of physical activity. In his youth he was a champion sprinter of Sri Aurobindo Ashram. With the advent of the West, he participated in. several marathons and ultramarathons. Now aged 74, he is still breaking records of its different lifting heavy weights. Sri Chinmoy’s philosophy is “never give up” and that “age is not an obstacle.”
Finally Sport provides an excellent opportunity for unity among different SC states. Sport has the capacity to transcend political barriers. If you play sports in the right spirit can offer an opportunity to increase the friendship between different countries of the world. Especially the Olympics is one of the flagship of mankind is able to show that all belong to one world-family. Thus, sports can play a vital role in SC for greater world harmony.
